Questions people ask
- Do you take commissions?
- Yes, a small number each year. Commissions begin with a conversation about the room the painting will live in — its light, its walls, what you look at while you sit in it. From there Priscilla works freely; she does not paint to a photograph or a swatch. Expect three to five months.
- How are paintings shipped?
- Panels are wrapped in glassine, corner-protected and crated by hand in the studio. Domestic shipping is included in the listed price. International shipping is quoted per crate.
- Are the paintings framed?
- Cold wax panels are finished on the sides and hang beautifully unframed. If you prefer a frame, Priscilla works with a framer in Dorchester and can arrange a simple maple or blackened-steel float frame at cost.
- How soon will I hear back?
- Priscilla reads and answers her own mail, usually within two days. If your enquiry is about a specific painting she will hold it for you while you decide.
